Is this BlindPost real?
A quick guide to spotting scams that impersonate BlindPost — and how to verify the real app.
⚠️ The hard rule
Downloading, installing, and registering for BlindPost is always free. We never charge to access your account or your messages.
We will never ask you for:
- Money or payment of any kind
- Credit card, bank account, or crypto wallet info
- Age verification through ID, selfie, or payment
- Personal documents (passport, government ID, address)
If anyone — promoter, group admin, "support staff", anyone — tells you to do any of these to download, install, or register BlindPost, it is a scam. Stop, do not pay, and verify against the official sources below.
Three official sources
Real BlindPost only exists in three places:
Anywhere else — Telegram bot, "BlindPost mirror site", QR code in a stranger's chat, "promotion group", custom installer URL — is fake, regardless of how convincing it looks.
Common scam patterns
Watch for any of these:
- A page demands a credit card or government ID before you can download.
- A link is sent from a domain that is not blindpost.app, claiming it's the "real" or "uncensored" version.
- A "promotion group", "beta tester program", or "early access" requires payment, a referral fee, or an activation code.
- A "BlindPost installer" or "setup file" appears anywhere outside the three official sources.
- Someone claims to be BlindPost staff, official support, or an admin via direct message and asks for payment, identity info, or your private key / mnemonic.
BlindPost has no staff who DM users individually. We do not run any promotion, referral, or paid tester program. We will never message you about your account, your wallet, or anything that asks you to "verify".
If you already shared info or paid
- Stop right away. Do not send more info or money. Block the contact.
- Contact your bank or card issuer immediately — call the number printed on the back of your card. Tell them you sent details to a phishing site. Most banks can reverse fraudulent charges if reported within hours.
- Change passwords for any accounts that share an email or password with what you entered on the scam page.
- Send us the scam URL at contact@blindpost.app with a screenshot if you have one. We file abuse reports with the hosting provider, Google Safe Browsing, and the registrar to take it down. Your report helps protect everyone else.
Technical verification (advanced)
If you want to confirm the app you already installed is genuine:
- iOS / iPadOS (App Store): the listing URL must be
apps.apple.com/app/id6762089612. App Store gates impersonators — if you got it through Apple's search, it is genuine. - Android (Google Play): the listing URL must be
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.blindpost. Same gating as Apple. - Android (sideloaded APK): long-press the app icon → App info → Package name must be
app.blindpost. - macOS (direct DMG): open Terminal and run
codesign -dvvv /Applications/BlindPost.app 2>&1 | grep TeamIdentifier— the output must includeTeamIdentifier=HHDWA9DK8C. If macOS launches the app without showing "developer cannot be verified", that's also confirmation it's signed by us.
Anything doesn't match? Treat the app as untrusted and re-download from one of the three official sources above.
